Devon Waste Management Ltd (DWML) provides key waste management services to both the private and public sector within the region. Services include receipt, transfer, recovery and recycling of all classes of non-hazardous wastes, haulage and ultimate disposal of residues to landfill. The company is delivering affordable solutions to a whole range of customers from national construction & development companies through local commercial enterprises to the resident householder.

The company also handles and landfills bonded asbestos and other non-reactive hazardous waste for disposal with a long history of shredding and on-farm composting of garden waste and the shredding and marketing of waste wood.

Within these services, DWML also operates a commercial and industrial waste trading division called Coastal Waste, which undertakes the collection, recycling and disposal operation to both commercial and household customers.

09 Feb - Commercial Waste Recycling & Asbestos Disposal

Devon Waste Management's commercial waste recycling facility is now achieving a stunning, recycling, recovery rate of 77% of the total waste collected by the company. The recycling facility is located at the company’s Exeter transfer station in Marsh Barton.

This recovery process follows substantial investment in new plant which sorts out lighter soil material and then wood, metals and dense plastic after the light paper and plastics are recovered separately leaving hardcore as the final product. Residues are now reduced to a small proportion of the quantity that used to be disposed of to landfill...
