EXTERNAL MONITORING SERVICES
Regular environmental monitoring on all types of permitted waste management operations is very important to ensure that any potential environmental problems are indentified early and action taken to mitigate any concerns. It also instils confidence with the regulators that the site is well managed and in the hands of competent operators.
Our wide range of specialist monitoring equipment and fully trained technicians enables Devon Waste management to undertake a full range of monitoring at waste facilities and contaminated land sites including:
- Surface Water
- Ground Water
- Landfill Leachate and
- Landfill Gas
Full Borehole purging equipment is available for all groundwater monitoring and is conducted to approved methods and protocols
In addition to the full monitoring service Devon Waste Management Ltd offers a full equipment hire facility covering all the specialist equipment required to successfully conduct borehole, surface water and landfill gas monitoring.

Minimum hire period – 3 days for couriered items
Carriage cost (if arranged by DWML) including packaging – at cost via TNT

Equipment is available for hire on a daily basis if it is collected from, and returned to, our office on the same day.

- GMI Landsurveyor 2 £45.00/day for gases CH4, CO2 and O2
- GA2000 Gas Instrument £60.00/day for gases CH4, CO2 and O2
Minimum hire period – 3 days for couriered items
Equipment is available for hire on a daily basis if it is collected from and returned to our offices on the same day.

All the above hire prices exclude VAT
All equipment must be returned to Devon Waste Management Ltd in Exeter in a clean working condition. Additional costs incurred by failure to do this will be added to the cost of hire.
Late return of equipment will be charged at full daily rate unless otherwise agreed.

Any delivery/carrier costs will be extra to above and arranged if required
Current delivery rates for mainland UK are:
- Next day- £20.00
- Next Day B/F Noon- £23.00
- Next Day B/F 10.30am- £28.00
- Next day B/F 9.00am- £35.00
